Speaking with a friend on the state of friends, girls and the world, we've both come to an agreement.
The mind should be open. Not only open though, but near broadcasted! My friend wants thought bubbles popping out of people's heads, I want a bit of a heads-up display (you can see I'm the technological nerd here lol)
So, on this thought bubble or HUD, is placed our current train of thought, or even just an emoticon. When you walk up to someone, and they first catch sight of you, could you imagine the feeling you'd have if you saw a smiley face suddenly appear floating above their heads. Not only would they wearing a smile (which could be fake), but you could see they were genuinely happy to see you - no lie, no fake, all truth.
At least in our minds that would be amazing. Yes, both of us see that there is the chance for unfortunate consequences, like the discovery that someone you thought truly was your friend isn't, but put simply, wouldn't it be better to find out now then at a point when it truly matters?

Ah... And I don't know =)
There's either the chance it's going well, or the chance that it's not going at all.

That's how I've felt for a while recently. The one thing worse than knowing that you've lost your chance is not knowing whether or not there stands a chance at all...
